Ansify ("we", "our", or "us") is a Shopify app that generates AI-powered FAQ content for product pages. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

2. Data We Collect

When you install and use Ansify, we collect the following data:

• Shop domain (e.g. your-store.myshopify.com) — used to identify your store and associate usage records
• Product information (title, description, type, vendor) — sent to our AI provider to generate FAQ content
• API usage metrics (token counts, model used, cost estimate) — stored internally for billing and monitoring purposes

We do NOT collect, store, or process any personal data belonging to your customers.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To generate FAQ content for your products using AI
• To store generated FAQs as product metafields in your Shopify store
• To monitor API usage and calculate costs for internal reporting

4. Third-Party Services

We use an AI language model API to generate FAQ content. Product information (title, description, type, vendor) is sent to this service for processing. No customer personal data is shared with any third party.

5. Data Retention

We retain API usage records (shop domain, token counts, cost) for internal monitoring. When you uninstall Ansify, all data associated with your shop is deleted within 48 hours in accordance with Shopify's GDPR requirements.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of the data we hold about your shop
• Request deletion of your shop's data
• Uninstall the app at any time, which will trigger automatic data deletion
